Brian Richter is general counsel of Equity International, responsible for all legal matters involving the Company and its investment portfolio. He has been associated with the Company since its inception in 1999.

From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Richter was with Equity Group Investments, LLC, the privately held investment company founded and led by Sam Zell. He has extensive experience in a broad array of international transactions involving both public and private companies, including international joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions and financings. He also has significant experience in the formation, structuring and operation of private investment funds. Previously, Mr. Richter was an associate at the law firm of Latham & Watkins in Chicago.

Mr. Richter graduated with a BA from Cornell University and received his JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
